 About
40 years ago Friends International was formed by a retired
missionary who saw the need to welcome and befriend wives of
visiting international students and professors. This vital ministry
of Memorial Baptist Church continues to reach out to those women who
are away from home, family, and friends which can be lonely,
frightening, or confusing.
Friends International provides an
opportunity for conversational English to be practiced in an
informal setting while new friendships are being formed. Each
week the group creates a craft, cooks a recipe, or participates in
an interesting activity. In addition, members share about
customs and cultures in the United States and abroad.

This group meets on Thursday mornings
from 9:30am to 11:30am (September - April)

Cost: Free (although a small cost is
sometimes associated with some craft projects)

Transportation: can be arranged if
needed
